Michael Dan, President
Michael has a diverse background that includes neurosurgery, medical research, biotechnology, and portfolio management. After five years as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans, Michael left medicine to become the CEO of Novopharm Biotech, an early phase, publicly traded, drug discovery company. He is currently President of Regulus Investments Inc. and Gemini Power Corp. He is also a trustee of the Paloma Foundation and a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Friends of Haifa University.
Michael holds an MD degree from The University of Toronto; a PhD in Experimental Medicine from McGill University; and, an MBA from Tulane University. He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
Alastair Wilson, Senior Technical Advisor
Alastair has spent over 40 years in the power utility business. He is currently Vice President – Operations of Gemini Power Corp. He has worked in all areas of Hydraulic Generation, Thermal Generation (Coal & Gas) and distributed Diesel Generation. His career has included roles as a technical specialist and as a senior manager of hydraulic generation in the areas of project development, operations and maintenance, water management, training, program planning, feasibility assessments and business development. Alastair’s experience has included work with Canadian public, private and overseas utilities.
Alastair is a Registered Professional Engineer APEO.
Lance McIntosh, Senior Financial Advisor
Lance has over 33 years experience in corporate finance and accounting with specific expertise in financial planning; financial administration and control; and, project and acquisition financing. Lance has extensive relationships in both the public and private debt and equity markets. He is currently Chief Financial Officer of Gemini Power Corp. and Regulus Investments Inc. as well as Executive Director of the Paloma Foundation and a director of Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc. Lance has been the CFO/VP Finance for a number of significant Canadian private and public corporations including Novopharm Biotech Inc., ATI Technologies Inc., the Penfund Group and Derlan Industries Ltd.
Lance is chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Arnold May, Consultant
Currently Senior Cultural Advisor to Gemini Power, Arnold May has 35+ years experience in power plant maintenance; training and development; negotiation and mediation; and, general business. The last 11 years of his career were devoted to working with First Nations in the province of Ontario in resolving grievances that they had filed with the provincial electricity transmission and distribution company. Upon retiring 6 years ago he set up a consulting business [Beedaubun Enterprise] and has been working with Gemini Power Corp. for the past two years providing advice and guidance to, and acting as a facilitator for, GPC with respect to its First Nations initiatives, projects and partnerships.
Arnold is certified in Conflict Resolution; Training System Design, Development and Delivery; and, is a qualified Industrial Mechanic Millwright and Machinist.
